Shrove Tuesday!
Shrove Tuesday is the day before Ash Wednesday and traditionally a day of celebrating and feasting before Lent starts. Shrove Tuesday is also known as Pancake Day, when households used up luxuries such as butter/lard, eggs and milk before Lent! Room 6 enjoyed making their own pancakes!
We also prepared the ashes for Ash Wednesday with Monsignor John, using the palms from Palm Sunday. The ashes represent the dust from which God made us.
