The Great Room 6 Pavlova Decorating Competition!!!

Room 6 had an extra challenge in their homework this week. They had to design a New Zealand themed pavlova and bring these to life on Thursday.
I was so impressed with the creativity and planning put into these creations and they certainly tasted great!!!

Making Tapa

We were very lucky to have Janice Tofia come in and talk to us about making tapa cloth. It was very interesting and we even had a go at making our own. Ours are on display in Room 6, so make sure you pop in and see them!

Our first Silver CARE Award!!

Congratulations, Tim on achieving your Silver CARE award. This is a fabulous achievement and reflects the hard work you put in during class. It was awesome to hear all the amazing things your friends had to say about you! Well done!

First Aid Course!!!

Room 6 became "Clued Up Campers" today when they completed a first aid course with Kirsty from St John's. The course is aimed at giving the children some basic first aid skills before they embark on their camp. We discussed different kinds of conditions and things that could happen on camp, such as bee stings and burns.
We learnt how to stop a bleed and how to pop a bandage on someone. Kirsty was awesome and we loved the activities.
