Little House on the Prairie - reading tasks!
We had fun starting our 'hand on' reading tasks today! All tasks relate directly to the text we are reading and require comprehension of the text in order to complete them well. Can't wait to see the finished products!
Outdoor games!
Here at St Joe's we have awesome outdoor games that we can use at lunchtime! Here is Gabe, Lam and Henry S with their giant jenga tower!

Young Vinnies - Resthome visit
Today we created a 'Thank you' card for the residents at Highview Rest home - we had such a great afternoon yesterday and thought that they might like to see some of the photos of our afternoon together 😀

Highview Rest Home Visit
Today was a special day for Room 6, we went for a visit Highview Rest Home and spent time with the residents there.
We sang songs, performed dances, entertained them with comedy acts - and most importantly we spent time just chatting with each person there.
I am incredibly proud of the children and the kindness they showed towards the elderly people at the rest home.
It was a wonderful experience and the children had many stories to chat about on our walk home in the sunshine.
Thanks again to all of the parents for the contributions you made towards the hamper that we gifted them with at the end of our afternoon together.
