PRINTMAKING IN ROOM 6!

Room 6 have been busy continuing their experimentation with printing. This week we used foam meat trays to create our own printing plate. We had to make sure our cityscape design was etched in deep enough to ensure a clear print. Ghost!!!

We have loved our novel this Term. Ghost has been an awesome read and we can't wait to read the sequel in the second part of the Term, especially as Ghost ended on a real cliffhanger!

Collagraphy Printing!

As part of our Art unit Room 6 have been experimenting with Collagraphy.
What is Collagraph printing?
Collagraph printing is a printmaking process where materials are glued on to a "printing plate", we used a square of cardboard. The printing plate is then painted with paint or ink and paper is pressed onto the surface to achieve the prints.

Kiwisport!

Welcome back Naomi!!! We had a great Kiwisport session today, learning all about the best stance to use when we are running. There are definitely some speedsters in Room 6.
